Here we would like to point out an exciting internet project of King’s College in London in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies (VCS – The Visual Commentary on Scripture), which went online at the end of 2018. The aim, similar to our books, is to link biblical texts with works of art and trigger a lively interaction. In this way, biblical texts can be rediscovered from an unusual perspective and works of art can be explored with a biblical eye. On the project’s homepage (https://thevcs.org/index.php/about), one can find many small “exhibitions”, arranged according to biblical books. Three works of art are assigned to each biblical passage, each of which is commented on individually and finally viewed together in a comparative way.
Weekly there is an update with a new exhibition, for which you can register via the homepage (https://thevcs.org/index.php/about).
