Purpose of Data Processing and Legal Basis

The websites of Bible & Art Publishing House are directed at our customers and potential customers primarily for the purpose of providing information, establishing contact and initiating business, and carrying out contractual measures. We store and process personal data in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-DSGVO).

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries by e-mail, your details will be stored by us together with the contact data you have provided in order to process the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. The processing of the data is thus based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 DSGVO). You can revoke this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you entered in the e-mail will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Order Form, Shopping Cart

We use the personal data you provide in the order process of the publishing store (such as name, address, payment data) exclusively for the fulfillment and processing of the contract.

Handling of Personal Data

Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, e-mail address or telephone number. Personal data is only collected and processed by us if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the collection of the data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis. The Bible & Art Publishing House is committed to the protection of privacy and continuously updates the technical and organizational security measures to protect the data provided. These measures are intended to prevent unauthorized access, unlawful deletion or manipulation and accidental loss of data to the best of our ability.

Who Receives Your Data

We do not pass on personal data to third parties unless this is necessary, for example, for the execution of a contract or due to legal regulations. If data is transferred to a service provider, this service provider is also obliged to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Revocation, Changes, Corrections, Updates, Transfer

You have the right to receive information about the stored personal data free of charge upon request. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data, blocking and deletion of personal data, if this does not conflict with any legal obligation to retain data. You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Data Protection and Websites

Bible & Art Publishing House is committed to protecting your privacy. In the following, we would like to give you more information about how our websites collect and process data.

Your IP Address

The IP address initially only identifies the Internet connection through which you are connected to the Internet and does not itself establish a direct link to you. Your IP address is not registered, stored or forwarded on our websites. We receive your data exclusively by the fact that you make them available to us, e.g. by filling out the order form. There is no link with the IP address.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the local computer. These files are basically harmless and useful for the comfortable use of a website. Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close the browser. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser on your next visit. Cookies may be necessary to perform certain functions (e.g. e-commerce, registration, login, shopping cart, payment and billing functions). In this case, the website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of services. The cookies enable you to use the offered functions comfortably and securely. You can configure the handling of cookies in your browser yourself. For example, all common browsers can be configured so that you do not accept cookies or automatically delete cookies when you end the session. Bible & Art Publishing House does not use cookies to analyze your surfing behavior (tracking) and the like.

Server Log Files

The websites of Bible & Art Publishing House are hosted on a server of a German company (provider). The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. The provider of the websites automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files. These are: Browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address. This data is not transmitted to us. A combination of this data with other data sources is not made.

Change of the Privacy Policy

Bible & Art Publishing House reserves the right to revise and amend the data protection declaration from time to time at its discretion within the framework of the statutory provisions. It is the user’s responsibility to review the updates, which will be effective immediately upon posting. Accordingly, by continuing to use the websites, the user agrees to the revised Privacy Policy.

Statistical Analysis of the Website

Every data subject has the right, granted by the European Directives and Regulations, to obtain confirmation from the controller as to whether personal data concerning him or her are being processed. If a data subject wishes to exercise this right, he or she may, at any time, contact the controller, Suzanne Lier of Bible & Art Publishing House.

Right of Complaint to the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of data protection law, the person concerned has a right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority in matters of data protection law is the State Data Protection Commissioner of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, in which our publishing house is based. A list of the data protection officers and their contact details can be found in the following link to the website of the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI):
